Terms of Service
Last updated November 5, 2026
These Terms govern your use of trysnagless.com and the services we offer (the “Services”). The Services are sold by Snagless, a sole proprietorship based in San José, Costa Rica (“Snagless”, “we”, “us”). They are intended for business use. If you use them for a business, you accept these Terms for that business.
What we do.
The free scan runs automated checks on the public page you enter and returns a report. The Checkout audit is a manual test, by an independent specialist working for us, of the pages and steps listed in your order (see “Audit scope and access”), on the date(s) stated in the report. Monitoring, when available, re-runs automated scans of the pages in your plan on a schedule. No legal advice, no compliance guarantee.
Snagless provides technical information only. We are not a law firm. Nothing we say or deliver is legal advice, a certification, or a statement that any website complies, or will comply, with the ADA, WCAG, the European Accessibility Act or any other law or standard. Automated scans detect only part of the possible barriers. A report reflects only the pages, tools and date it states. Fixing the issues we report may reduce barriers but does not guarantee any legal outcome, including that you will not receive a demand letter or be sued.Your responsibilities.
You decide whether and how to act on a report, and you are responsible for your website and its legal compliance. Consult a lawyer for legal questions. Reports are for your internal use and for your developers and advisers.Permission to scan.
By submitting an address you confirm that you own the site or are authorized to test it. We read the same public page a visitor’s browser would, identify ourselves as “SnaglessBot”, and do not log in, submit forms or install anything. You must not use the Services to overload, attack or try to access non-public parts of any site, or to build lists of sites to target for claims or demands.Orders, prices and refunds.
You pay through PayPal. You can pay by card without a PayPal account. Prices are in US dollars and exclude any taxes that apply. Payment is due before we start. Price: $149 for the first 50 audit orders, then $249. Delivery: we email your report within 5 business days (Monday to Friday, not counting U.S. federal holidays) after the latest of (a) your payment, (b) your store address and (c) any storefront password we need. Refunds: (1) Before we start, you get a full refund if you ask within 14 days of payment. (2) If we are going to miss the delivery date, we will tell you before it. If 2 business days pass after that date, we refund you in full on our own, without you asking, unless you tell us you prefer to wait. (3) After we deliver, you get a full refund if you ask within 14 days and something listed in your order is missing from the report, or the report has an error we can verify and we do not correct it within 5 business days. (4) If we cannot reach your product page or cart page, we refund you in full. If only the payment step cannot be reached, we deliver what we could reach and refund $30, or refund everything if you prefer. Every refund is paid back to the payment method you used, through PayPal. Re-check: once, within 60 days after delivery, you can ask us to confirm whether the issues in your report are fixed on the same pages. It is not a new audit and does not cover new pages or changes made after the report.Audit scope and access.
The Checkout audit is a focused test of your shopping path, not a full-site WCAG audit. It covers four pages or steps: home page, one product page, cart, and checkout up to the point where payment details are requested. We do not place real orders or enter payment details. Testing may create test carts or abandoned checkouts in your store. By ordering, you confirm that you own the store or have the owner’s permission, and you authorize us to browse and test it for this purpose. If we cannot confirm this, we do not start and we refund you in full. We never ask for your admin login, staff account, payment details or API keys, and you should not send them. If your store is password-protected, you may share the storefront password only. We delete it when the audit ends.Confidentiality and data.
We keep your reports and the information you give us confidential, use them only to provide and improve the Services, and delete audit working files 12 months after delivery. See the Privacy Policy.Intellectual property.
You own your site and the report we deliver to you. We keep our software, methods and templates. You may share your report with your developers and advisers; you may not resell it or present it as a certification.Disclaimer.
The Services are provided “as is” and “as available”. To the fullest extent allowed by law, we disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement. We do not warrant that a scan will find every barrier or be error-free.Limitation of liability.
To the fullest extent allowed by law: (a) we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, lost profits or revenue, or for any claim, demand letter, lawsuit, settlement, fine or legal fee brought against you by a third party; and (b) our total liability for any claim relating to the Services is limited to the amount you paid us for the Services in the 12 months before the claim arose. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, including for fraud or willful misconduct.Indemnity.
You will indemnify us for third-party claims arising from your scanning of a site you were not authorized to test, or from your breach of section 4.Governing law and disputes.
Costa Rican law governs these Terms, without regard to conflict-of-law rules. Before bringing any claim, you and we will try in good faith to resolve it by email for 30 days. Either party may bring an individual claim in small-claims court.Whole agreement.
These Terms are the whole agreement between you and us about the Services. If any part is unenforceable, the rest stays in force.Changes and contact.
